The pictures I'm showing you now are from last fall. The colors here are spectacular! I take a fall color tour trip up the west coast of the state (along Lake Michigan) every year. The picture on the boat is my friend Anne-Maria from Finland. That is a picture of the Black River in one of Michigan's most famous and loved port towns, South Haven. Only 45 minutes from Kalamazoo.

The pictures of the snow I just took on 2/27/02. We had what we hope is our last snowfall of the season. These are looking right out my front and back doors. Winter in Michigan is so much more beautiful WITH snow on the ground. Better for winter sports too! Nice thing about Michiganians, we're PREPARED for lots of snow. It's expected; not unexpected. We can handle it!
