Born in Kansas City, Missouri, my Oklahoma bred-and-born family relocated to Kalamazoo in the mid-60's. My father was in sales at Upjohn and the only 'Okie' in the bunch! I went to Portage schools and have been a 'Northerner' ever since. If ya'll don't believe me, just ask!
I love interior decorating with a flare. If there is a white wall in the house, then I'm not done! I enjoy all types of board games and cards, especially Euchre. But games and cards are just an excuse to get together with new and old friends for an evening of laughs. Many of my friends are from high school, and this includes most of my Euchre Mania group of eight women.
I enjoy getting out on the town to the area restaurants and bars, local (live) theatre, plus the movies and museums. I especially enjoy long weekends to Chicago and traveling across this beautiful state, particularly the Lake Michigan shoreline and especially on a boat! I also enjoy my condo in South Haven right on the lake. Yep, it's nice.
In April of 2001 I completed the construction of a brand new duplex located on a quiet lake street cul-de-sac. My mother surprised me by announcing (after I started advertising for tenants!) that SHE would like to live in the other side!! This was WONDERFUL news! I am truly blessed to have my mom, and good friend, so close to me.
And she's a great 'babysitter' for Mo. Shortly after we got settled I 'rescued' a little 4-year-old dog. He's 7 lbs, part Poodle, part Yorkie, and mostly fun and full of love! I hadn't had a dog since I was a kid, and those were big ones. I'm really enjoying this little one that can sit right on my lap and not take up much room in my house! We loved him so much we also got Sophie (for mom). A cute little Maltese that thinks she's the boss of everyone. Ugh! ;-)
I have a confidant and fun outgoing personality with sincere warmth and humor that my clients love.
